General Dermatology Treatment

We offer treatments for skin conditions such as:

Eczema

Eczema is a common skin condition where patches of skin experience inflammation, itchiness, redness, and roughness. Our dermatologists may treat eczema with special creams that control itching and repair the skin, drugs that fight infection, or laser treatment.

Rosacea

Often mistaken for acne, eczema, or a skin allergy, rosacea causes visible redness and blood vessels on the face. It may also lead to tiny, pus-filled bumps. We may treat it with a laser treatment.

Psoriasis

Psoriasis causes raised, red, scaly patches to appear on the skin. It is a chronic condition that may be present one day and disappear the next. While we can’t cure psoriasis, we can help you manage its symptoms through topical creams and laser treatments.

Seborrheic Dermatitis

Seborrheic dermatitis causes red skin, stubborn dandruff, and scaly patches on the scalp. Our dermatologists typically treat this condition with antifungal gels, shampoos, ointments, or creams.

Tinea Versicolor

Tinea versicolor is a common fungal infection of the skin that leads to patches that may be lighter or darker in color than the surrounding skin. If it doesn’t respond to over-the-counter antifungal medication, our dermatologists may recommend prescription-strength medication.

Athlete’s Foot

Athlete’s foot is a fungal infection that typically starts between the toes and often in those who have sweaty feet in tightfitting shoes. Treatment for athlete’s foot ranges from over-the-counter ointments, creams, and powders to prescription-strength medications.

Nails

Nail disorders are common and vary greatly from basic chipping nails to malignant melanoma of the nail bed. Nails are simply an extension of the skin and as such can present with a host of abnormalities and disorders. We perform a thorough evaluation of your nail problem and at times a biopsy may be necessary. There are several nail disorders that require surgical treatments such as tumor growths, chronic ingrown nails, and nail removal after trauma. As dermatologic surgeons and nail experts we can address the range of nail disorders and effectively treat our patients.
